Are you wondering "What does a private consult involve?"

Have you ever thought about how a private consult can help and what it involves?

We work with you one on one to help you address behaviour issues, work on basic training or implement programs for advanced training.

There are many reasons people chose to partake in a private consult.

Some reasons are:

  • Getting ready before new puppy arrives

  • Setting you & your new puppy up for the greatest success

  • Getting that solid recall

  • Addressing behavioural issues

  • Attaining loose leash walking skills

  • Working on foundation behaviours

  • Helping your shelter dog adjust

  • Taking your training to the next level

  • Troubleshooting training

  • Supporting you to reach your goals

  • Assisting with the integration of a new canine or human family member

  • Dog to dog issues

  • Dog to human issues

  • and much more

From minor to complex, we can work one on one with you, your family and your puppy or dog. A private consult allows you to get invaluable advice and support to work through issues and set you up with confidence and skills to train your dog. We work on giving you the skills to build on the relationship you have with your dog.

Being a professional dog trainer is about helping you, the guardian, acquire skills, knowledge and confidence, no matter the level you are at with training and experience, we meet you where you are and work from there.

Whatever your need, our focus is to set you up for success. We offer professional private consultation services to support you and address your needs.

After you reach out to us, we will contact you and gather some general information to find out what it is you are seeking help with.

Following our initial contact, the flow of our private consultations for behaviour and/or training generally follows this path:

• Further detailed information is gathered about you and your dog’s individual circumstances. This allows us to consider all factors and goals so we can work on getting an in-depth profile and some strategies that will work for your individual situation. We also look at your dog’s L.E.G.S Learning Environment Genetics Self, because there are many contributing factors to who they are at any given time, and everyone is unique.

• A 90min face to face consultation is booked in at your home. During this we discuss management options, goals and strategies and together can begin implementing any training or behaviour change strategies. We provide any resources, handouts, guides and supporting information during our face to face to refer to, because we want to set up you all up for success.

• A report with detailed training plan/behaviour change strategies is compiled for your individual dog and we email this to you following our face-to-face consult.

• Resources & Handouts are provided with the report and plan, including any step-by-step guides, so everything is laid out with clear framework to support you along the way.

• With our private consults, we offer full support and a follow up contact via phone/facetime/zoom after a few weeks to check-in and make any adjustments to our training and behaviour change strategies.

If further sessions or an assisted training plan is requested or recommended, we book in future sessions and discuss goals in line with our training and behaviour change plan and strategies.

We also offer discounts for booking in private training packages!

Remember, there is no quick fix to training and behaviour, but sometimes a single consultation can put you on track to your destination. Other situations may need ongoing support.

Whatever your needs, we are there to inspire the trainer within you to guide and support your dog’s growth and help you both live your best lives.
